Indonesian Language Education Study Program, UMM – Mr. Candra Rahma Wijaya Putra, S.S., S.Pd., M.A., Secretary and lecturer of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program (PBI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) was one of the speakers at the Malang City Literature Festival.
Mr. Candra, his nickname, reviewed the book entitled The Bridge of No Return with the author, Mardi Luhung, and moderated by Ricky Setya Prayoga. The activity, which was held at the Kopi Tani shop, Dau Malang, last Friday (20/10), was attended by dozens of discussion participants.
“The Bridge of No Return tells the story of a bridge where everyone who crosses this bridge will never return. Even though they won't come back, there are always people who want to cross the bridge. These people come from different circles, both in terms of age, status and intelligence. These people always show cheerful and happy faces. "So full of hope and enthusiasm," explained Mr. Candra.
Windi Hamidah, as a discussion participant, also felt very enthusiastic about the Bridge of No Return book review activity. "Children now say 'nyore, looking for twilight' and this time the bonus is knowledge," he said.
This book review is one of a series of activities at the Malang City Literature Festival. The festival, which was held for four days from 19 to 22 October 2023 and started from 9 am to 9 pm, was lively with high enthusiasm from literary activists and visitors. Muhammad Dandy as the chief organizer hopes that this activity can accommodate literary activists to express their works and most importantly can revitalize the literary activity of Malang City.
