Indonesian Language Education Study Program, UMM – Students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program (PBI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UMM never run out of potential in creating and writing literature. Recently, students who are members of the Sanggar Aksara Poetry Musicalization group appeared as guest stars at a guest lecture event with the Director of Cultural Development and Utilization of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Mr. Dr. Restu Gunawan, M. Hum.
The event which took place offline in the BAU UMM Hall on Saturday (21/10) had the theme "Cultural Advancement and Cultural Diplomacy". Sanggar Aksara presented three poetry musicals (Muspus) including Senja di Pelabuhan Kecil by Chairil Anwar, Menepilah by Edi Sukardi, and Sin of the Night for Me by R. Zulfa Setyoko P.
Miftahul Huda, Chair of the Literacy Studio, was happy with invitations like this, because they could accommodate friends to continue working, especially in the field of literature.
"Of course an invitation like this is very valuable for us, because it can accommodate and provide space for us to work. "And it can bring out students' competitiveness at both study program, faculty, especially FKIP, and university levels," said Huda, his nickname.
"Incidentally, at this performance, we presented our latest work entitled Sins of the Night to Me. "I myself am the guitarist, Mutiara and Vivin are the vocalists, Naufal is the kajon player, and Hanifah and Mahda are the poetry readers," he continued.
The guest lecture which was attended by hundreds of students was lively and full of knowledge. Muhammadiyah University of Malang always facilitates students by presenting big figures to provide additional knowledge and provide different experiences to all students.
